Today is one of the times I am sad to be on this side of the world. Oh, we had a great day filled with fun activities and a relaxing evening at home, but my heart is somewhere else. My cousin is getting married today on the other side of the world. I wish I could be there to join the celebration and enjoy the gathering of family, and of course to wish Dave and Leslie a wonderful new life together.

- We adopted our youngest child, Gwen, from the Sichuan province in China in 2005, making our family SIX. In 2007, we were given the opportunity to move to Shanghai, where we lived for just a few weeks shy of five years. Now we are back in the Chicago area and readjusting to life in the US!

Yah, we missed having you guys with us, but it helped that we were able to drowned our sorrows with a huge basket of mini cookies. ;) I hope that you can take some comfort in knowing that I frequently held up a cookie and offered a toast of "to the Liptaks" before eating it. -STD
