- We adopted our youngest child, Gwen, from the Sichuan province in China in 2005, making our family SIX. In 2007, we were given the opportunity to move to Shanghai, where we lived for just a few weeks shy of five years. Now we are back in the Chicago area and readjusting to life in the US!

The shoes are her sister's... she is forever borrowing Madelyn's shoes, esp. if they are a slip-on type! Much too big for her, which is especially impractical when you are learning to hula!
