What a Difference a Year Makes

Future drivers check out the Mini Cooper... not quite enough space for all of us!
Last Valentine's Day we were celebrating because our dossier had been sent to China on that day. We knew then that we had a long wait a head of us... turned out to be seven months until we got Gwen's referral, and then another two until we traveled to get her. Now here we are on the other side of it already! Yesterday was Valentine's Day again... I was in the Social Security Administration office in the afternoon, waiting for two hours to apply for Gwen's social security number. Fortunately she was not with me, but was home napping with her brothers as babysitters. Then last night we all went to the auto show in Chicago. Gwen had a grand time running around in her squeaky shoes, attracting lots of attention. She joined her brothers and sister getting in all the cars. On the way home, Scott and I marveled at the changes in our family over the past year... we are SO very thankful for this little person God has given to all of us!

You have a beautiful family!!!! I was drawn to your blog because of adoption and your daughter's name. It's my name too and all three of my children are adopted. Congrats on your sweet family!!!!!!!!
