Kudos

Want to say a big thank you to my friend Carol, mama to one of Gwen's China sisters, for giving my blog a much-needed update! Doesn't she do amazing work? Thanks so much, Carol!

A New Blog

I want to introduce a new link on my sidebar list of other blogs. It is the top one on the list now, and is titled "A Conversation on Faith and Public Policy." Seems appropriate for the times in the US right now, from what I hear from this side of the world. The blog actually has two authors, and is written as a conversation between my sister-in-law, Mindy, and my dad. They are coming from different view points, which makes it quite interesting, but both are really seeking to come to a better understanding of the truth. I have just started into it myself... I hope you will too.

Update

If you read the post requesting prayer for the family who is in Kumming to adopt their daughter, you might want to check back at their blog here. This little one is still hospitalized, but is doing much better. Please continue to pray for them.

Answer

Since I cannot comment on any blogs from here, including my own, I wanted to answer a question I've gotten a couple of times in comments on my blog. Some of you wondered how long we will be in China. We have committed to a three year contract. There is always the possibility of that being extended, but it would be our choice. We do plan to travel back to visit family and friends in the US a couple of times a year.

New Look

Just want to make a quick note about the new header and colors on the blog. My very talented friend Carol, who's daughter is another one of Gwen's "China sisters", created the header for me and helped me change the look of the blog. She also does video creations of photos and video clips set to music that are really neat. If you check her blog (Chopsticks and Tabouli, click on the link in my sidebar) you can scroll down a little to see the video she created of the day she got her daughter, Kimberly. Here is her website address, if you are interested in learning more about having her create something for you! http://www.welcomeadditionsvideo.com/
