Fruit

Not sure if this little fruit is available in other parts of the world, but I hadn't had it before we came to China. Lychee is in season here now, and oh so delicious. The sweet white flesh is wet and slippery, with a small dark brown oblong seed inside. Can I get this in the US? If you've seen it, please let me know. :-)

Good news Lynn, they carry it in Heinens. I love it as does Meredyth and one year old Naomi. The past few weeks I can't seem to keep enough of it in the house. Simply delicious!

Hey Mrs. Liptak,

My name is Nicole Brown-Dominguez and went to greenhouse with your son; and I happen to know that lychee fruit is available in specialty food stores. I know this because in a hunt for the candies made from the fruit we came across the actual lychee fruit. So it is available in the states, you just have to look. =)

May god bless you and yours,

Nicole Brown- Dominguez

Lynn, also try the rhombutons. These are similiar to lychee except bigger and red skinned. Things can be found here but they never taste as fresh and sweet. Mangoes are always a disappointment too. The wax berries should be in season right now. Remember to soak them in salt, and they are so refreshing frozen on a hot day.

Yes, they should carry those in various international food markets. You can find anything there!

I think they have them at HMart in Naperville. Canned and fresh:)
