Sad State of Affairs

I was helping Gwen get dressed yesterday morning, pulling a summer top over her head, and I happened to mention that I had purchased it at Target last summer when we were visiting Uncle Beav and Aunt Rebecca . She got a puzzled look on her face and said, "What's Target?"

This girl needs to get to the US, and fast. To not remember what Target is... oh my.

I know, I was just discussing with Jason the low American Vocabulary the girls have. They were all confused on day when I said we would go to Subway. They kept telling their friends how much they like taking the subway, not realizing we had already been there, since we were eating our subway sandwiches.

Sam saw a Target sign today and delightfully yelled, "TARGET!"

Good Afternoon from Atlanta, GA
and
Happy Mothers Day!

For the last two days I have been reading your entire blog. Yes, I went all the way back to the beginning. It was just so interesting and I love the way you write. I also love China and enjoyed seeing it through your eyes.
My name is Lila Huggins. I have been married to the love of life for 36 marvelous years. We have two grown daughters and 8 terrific grandchildren, four of which we are helping to raise, with God help of course.
I hope you don't mind me following along on your journey. I have just fallen in love with little Gwen and the rest of your family. I currently follow, faithfully, about 20 China adoption blogs and they just make my day!
I would love to adopt 100 children if I could. But being 62, I'm too old (no to me)and because of my current health would never pass, although I feel wonderful and grieve daily for all the orphans in the world.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful story. Have you ever thought of writing a book? I would sure read it.

God Bless You and your family,
Miss Lila in Atlanta

So when I started reading this, I was afraid Gwen was going to say, "Who is Uncle Beav and Aunt Rebecca?" I am So Relieved.
