Bikelihood

Waiting at a traffic light yesterday, I spotted this load of twig brooms. Seems incongruous with the rest of the scene, but it is par for the course in Shanghai.

While we were in Vietnam, we rented motorbikes one afternoon. I was surprised to pass a motorbike going the other way with a huge pig on the back, behind the driver! Scott didn't see it, and when I told him about it later, I insisted that the pig had looked very much alive to me. He questioned this fact, chuckling that the driver would have trained a giant pig to balance placidly on a roaring motorbike. Okay, it was a dead pig. But it was a large, whole dead pig. On the back of a motorbike.
