- We adopted our youngest child, Gwen, from the Sichuan province in China in 2005, making our family SIX. In 2007, we were given the opportunity to move to Shanghai, where we lived for just a few weeks shy of five years. Now we are back in the Chicago area and readjusting to life in the US!

I am a complete stranger to you...i was browsing something else on internet and i came across your blog. I am really very happy and touched seeing all your events (apologies for intruding in your privacy). Some how felt very nice seeing all your family pictures..descriptions..humour..your kids grow...
One interesting observation was that..the first blog in 2005 was coincing with my birthday...Dec 29th..i dont know how it caught my eye...just a coincedence.
Wanted to share this...god bless your family..and be happy alway.

This is Kishore from India (living in Tanzania). I just came across your blog..while i am seraching something on the internet (nothing related though). Just wanted to share my feelings..am really happy and was touched with your blog. The way you put up the pictures comments..i can literally see Gwen growing up..it was amzaing. I am sure...those kids are very lucky..you both are amazing parents.
Its a coincidence that..your 2005 blog day (i guess this is the first year of this blog)and my birth day are on same date.
I know i am a complete stranger..but i really felt emotional and happy seeing your blog and a lovely family together...
