She's 12... Oh, Can It Be?

Madelyn Ruthie Rose (we've unofficially added a third name for fun) is twelve years old today!  Our millennium baby, always turning the age of the new year.  She's had a fun day, despite the fact that it was a regular school day.  It happened to be a "free dress" day (no uniform!) and she and her friend Hannah wore their matching shirts.  After school they had some time for snacks, listening to music, and playing with American Girl dolls before going back to school to watch their big brothers in the boys' varsity basketball game.

We had a yummy dinner that including lots of silliness... boys were rhyming everything we said.  Lemon pie and strawberries for dessert.  Not sure what Gwen's glum face is about... love everyone else's smiles!  Fun with gifts after dinner~ see the new paints below!

Now we're all quieting down for the evening... Gwen to bed, boys to homework, and Madelyn just got out of the shower.  I can hear her humming in her bedroom down the hall.  That's our girl, always a song in her heart.  Praying that it continues to flow out of her in the coming years!
