Today Gwen has officially been a part of our family longer than she was not yet a part of it. Because she was one day shy of being twenty-one months old when we adopted her, this day took much longer to come than it does for families who adopt younger children. Gwen's adoption day, December 13, 2005, was twenty-one months and one day ago!
Incidently, today is also Gwen's three and half year old birthday!

I was just thinking about this the other day, as I realized that Alyssa is almost the age Qwen was when you got her! 2 months shy. Funny - Gwen seemed older. Or more likely, my memory is fuzzy.
