- We adopted our youngest child, Gwen, from the Sichuan province in China in 2005, making our family SIX. In 2007, we were given the opportunity to move to Shanghai, where we lived for just a few weeks shy of five years. Now we are back in the Chicago area and readjusting to life in the US!

My Dad and I got braces together and it remains an awesome experience to have had TOGETHER. It was a way to get a positive out of a somewhat yucky thing to have to do.
