The day we visited the park was quite busy, because it happened to be a national holiday. Fortunately it wasn't so busy as to be horribly crowded, but what we did find were many, many brides being photographed. It is customary in Shanghai to have several photo sessions for the bride and groom on days other than the wedding or reception day (the legal wedding and the reception are often held months apart). Wedding receptions have extensive slide shows of professional photos, in different outfits and settings. Apparently this was the park shot day! It was fun to see all their creative poses. Also funny to see were the shoes they were wearing... usually not party shoes, but something suitable for spending the day trekking around the park.

Love these photos!! My favorites are the hat shot and the last one of the couple under the veil. The crisp lines of the bride and groom, the softness of the veil, the picnic in the background, the gorgeous setting - very interesting. Thanks for sharing!
What gorgeous pictures! The one on the dock is amazing with the veil seeming to just barely touch the water. Many were so romantic and beautiful! I may have to look at them all again! Mom
Which park is this? I would love to visit it.
I'm interested in the very Western style of these gowns.... Hard to imagine, isn't it?, that someday strapless, sleeveless wedding gowns will be out of style.
